West Sacramento has implemented a new approach to housing by legalizing movable tiny homes as permanent residences - the first jurisdiction in the SACOG region to do so! This policy innovation provides a method for addressing our complex regional housing shortages.
Our organization, Roof Over My Heart, advocates for expanding and protecting homeownership pathways. We're sharing how tiny home policies can deliver rapid and cost-effective housing solutions with bipartisan appeal across urban, suburban, and rural communities throughout the six-county regional area.
